NEWS: ILLINOIS YOUTH SOCCER MANDATES US SOCCER HEADING BAN

Effective immediately, in accord with US Soccer the Illinois Youth Soccer has banned heading for players aged 10 and under for all Illinois Youth Soccer activities including but not limited to Illinois Youth Soccer Member League play, practices and tournaments.

A purposeful header by a player in an age bracket for players aged 10 and under shall be considered an indirect free kick awarded to the opponent.

RULES OF PLAY - LEAGUE

These house rules are established with the primary objective of achieving the following:

  • Emphasize safety and fairness.
  • Provide maximum playing time for players
  • Maintain games on schedule
  • Serve as guiding principles for all Referees officiating

Guiding Principle

Our goal is to provide quality playing time for all players and teams in a safe, fair and competitive environment. In an effort to ensure fair competition Chicagoland Indoor Soccer will attempt to match appropriately competitive teams in each age group. Selection will be based upon team past performances as well as informational statistics obtained from their outdoor standings and results.
